Blerina Agritourism blends traditional Albanian architecture with contemporary rural hospitality. The design reinterprets vernacular stone masonry, wooden detailing, and tile roofing to create a warm, immersive guest experience. Programmed as an agritourism retreat, the project includes lodging, dining, and educational spaces within a low-impact footprint. Materials were locally sourced, and landscaping preserves native olive and citrus trees.
As a woman-owned initiative, it aimed to create a sustainable, health-focused retreat where visitors could learn, dine, and stay in close connection with nature. A multi-phase development engaged local architects and artisans to realize a design rooted in Albanian vernacular architecture and traditional building methods. Since opening, the farm has become a national example of regenerative tourism, fostering local employment, cultural preservation, and environmental education. Its impact extends beyond hospitality, serving as a living model for rural revitalization and meaningful community interaction.
