Garten Restaurant

The restaurant’s defining gesture is a sculptural staircase fabricated in weathering steel (Corten), rising organically from the terrace. Its sinuous form engages in a dynamic interplay with a series of slender oxidized rods, rhythmically arranged to evoke a grove of abstracted trees. The rust-hued patina of the metal lends a rich, timeworn character to the intervention, integrating the architecture within its natural context while asserting a strong contemporary presence. Far beyond a functional connector, the stair operates as a spatial landmark anchoring the project with symbolic clarity and sculptural resolve.

The interior unfolds with a calibrated balance between raw industrial expression and sensorial intimacy. The ceiling is articulated through exposed black steel beams and copper-tinted mechanical ducts, interwoven with a suspended mesh of industrial-grade metal netting. This layered overhead composition generates a nuanced visual depth, filtering ambient light and introducing a tactile ceiling plane that mediates between opacity and transparency.

The dining area is curated as a material and chromatic dialogue. Custom-designed blue-toned upholstery contrasts with natural wood seating, crafting a palette that references both maritime tones and organic tactility. Overhead, a constellation of handwoven rattan pendants, each unique in form, cascades softly from the ceiling, creating a floating canopy of diffused warm light. This ensemble tempers the linearity of the architectural elements, fostering an atmosphere that is both composed and inviting.
